Sainte-Chapelle

 I took these pictures in Paris last summer of the Sainte-Chapelle and I have posted them because I think the scale and the coulours of the stained glass really catch the eye.

Al Pacino by Ivering Penn

Al Pacino is my favourite actor and this portrait was taken by Ivering Penn, I love this picture for how he managed to capture the seemingly unaware expression on his face.

La Jeune Fille a la Fleur

This picture was taken in Washington by Marc Riboud in March of 1967.  It shows a girl displaying a single flower in her hand to armed soliders in protest of the war in Vietnam. I think this is a very powerful image because of how she appears to be undeterred by the force that faces her.

A room with a view

I took this picture down in Kilkenny from my hotel room it's of the surrounding woodlands of The Lyrath Estate.

Palm of Miles davis

These pictures were taken by Iviring penn in New York in 1986.They are pictures of the palm of Miles Davis, the famous American jazz musician.I like these pictures not just because I like black and white photography but because of how such a simple series of pictures has such a powerful impact.

Rat and Mike with a gun

This picture was taken by Mary Ellen Mark.  It was taken in 1983 and it depicts the life of homeless children in Seattle.  I like this picture becaucse I love black and white photography but also for it's shock value and how one image can tell a much bigger story.

Elizabeth Eckford was one of the first black students admitted to Central High School in Little Rock, Arkansas. This photo shows her grueling walk to class while being shouted at by white students.

Ansel Adams

These pictures were taken by Ansel Adams in the Yosemite Valley on the West Coast of America.   I admire these pictures for the sharp details and the great depth of field and how they have an almost magical feel to them.

I took these pictures on the west coast of Ireland.  I wanted to share them with you because I think it's a really nice sunset.

Touco

I took these of my dog Touco, Touco is nearly a year old and he is a cross between Shih Tzu and a Coton de Tulear.I love the expression on his face.
